C/DST 504: Mad People’s History Spring/Summer 2022 Assignments Reflective Essay Assignment There are TWO Reflective Essay Assignments in this course, each worth 25% of your final grade: ● The First Reflective Essay must be based on the readings from one of Weeks 2-6. ● The Second Reflective Essay must be based on the readings from one of Weeks 7-11. The instructions for both Reflective Essays are the same: ● From the week range, choose the week that most interests you and that you wish to know more about. ● Develop a thesis statement based on the week’s readings and clear arguments in support of this thesis statement. ● Use all of the assigned readings from your chosen week, and a minimum of TWO additional academic sources or survivor accounts from outside the course. ● Include a title page with your name, student number, date, the title of your Reflective Essay, and the instructors’ names. ● Your essay itself must be a minimum of 3 double-spaced pages in length and a maximum of 3.5 double-spaced pages (excluding the title page and bibliography) ● Use 12-point font in Times New Roman. ● Use APA citation style consistently. Cite your sources throughout your paper. How to submit your work: Reflective Essay (Weeks 2-6) ● Upload a digital copy of your assignment to the appropriate assignment dropbox located in your course shell in D2L by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, November 1st. ● Please label your file: Lastname_Firstname_ReflectiveEssay1_CDST504.docx. Reflective Essay (Weeks 7-11) ● Upload a digital copy of your assignment to the appropriate assignment dropbox located in your course shell in D2L by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, November 29. ● Please label your file: Lastname_Firstname_ReflectiveEssay2_CDST504.docx.
