Assignment Instructions/ Description
4-1 Simulation: Round Three Web Page Task: View this topic You have now completed two rounds of the simulation and have debriefed with your instructor and your team. Before you get started on your third round, be sure to complete this week’s assigned reading. The more information you gather, the more informed your decisions will be. Once you have finished the reading, begin the third round of the simulation: Log in to Capsim and go to your company homepage. Review the manager’s guide. Review “The Globe,” your company’s annual reports, and the market conditions. Consider the concepts covered thus far in the course as you make your decisions. Once you feel ready, click on the Research and Development department quick link in the upper right area of your homepage and begin your simulation. It is suggested that you work through the departments in the order they appear. Work all the way through the entire simulation, making decisions as you go. Make the best decisions you can make at this point in the course, and again, do not worry about making a mistake. This is a learning opportunity. Before completing your final project, you will work through the simulation one more time (in Module Five), making different choices and changing decisions as you gather more information. At the end of each round, you will debrief with your instructor and your peers to ask questions and to learn from one another. You will receive a pass/fail grade for this assignment. You must complete each step of the entire simulation to receive full points.
