A good deal of research concentrates on that relationship. For example, according to leader-member exchange theory, leadership effectiveness is related to positive exchanges between leaders and followers. Path/goal theory posits that it is the leader's responsibility to provide their followers with all the information, support and resources necessary to achieve organisational goals and their personal objectives.
